Our Duke slip collar is made to easily slip on over your dog's head, and tighten to a snug fit when pulled. They are recommended for dogs who are not heavy pullers, and are not recommended for dogs with weak or thin necks.

While the size of a slip can partly come down to personal preference, most people take the neck measurement and add one or two inches. For dogs with larger heads you may need to add 3 inches. You need to make sure the size you order can slide over your dog’s head so as long as the measurement allows this you do this you are all set.

Important to note: This style collar cinches tighter with pressure, for safety please supervise while using this collar and never leave the dog unattended with the collar on.

Real leather can be stiff to begin with but will soften up greatly with use/wear. Properly conditioning can help the break-in process and will also help to extend the life of the leather.

Note* The natural veg-tanned leather will turn a deep caramel colour with time, use and exposure to the sun.

Leather Care

For safety purposes, dogs should always be supervised while wearing collars and all hardware should be inspected regularly.
